Balfour Beatty is one of a team of eight major construction and power companies involved in examining the feasibility of constructing the dam. No contracts have yet been signed.
Balfour Beatty has always recognised that export insurance support for this project is contingent upon satisfactory approaches to environmental and other issues being developed by the client and that judgements with respect to DSI’s plans will, properly, be made by the eight export credit agencies involved and their respective governments.
