Balfour Beatty appoints new Head of Group Audit
16 Sep 2004Balfour Beatty, the international engineering, construction and services group, has appointed Amit Shah as Head of Group Audit.
Amit Shah, who is 45, joins Balfour Beatty from ICAP plc, the world's largest voice and electronic interdealer broker, where he established and ran the group's internal audit function and was also responsible for compliance matters.
Prior to joining ICAP in 1999, he was Head of Internal Audit for Caspian Securities and, before that, Chief Financial Officer for the European Investment Banking Division of Salomon Brothers International.
A law graduate from Exeter University, Amit Shah is a chartered accountant. He is married with one son and lives in London.
