- A £5.9 million design and build project to create the new Gladstone Primary School which is to provide flexible teaching space for 480 pupils of nursery age to 11 years old
- To facilitate the construction, an existing building at the heart of the site was demolished to provide space for the new school. The remaining school buildings remained operational throughout the duration of the project
- A steel frame structure was chosen to assist in the ease and speed of construction
- Vital communications with the school and nearby residents were underpinned by a regular newsletter and a construction skills learning week. At this event Mansell provided hands-on experience of some of the core aspects of the construction industry to compliment the curriculum at a learning level identified by the school
- The end result of this 77 week project is a striking octagonal shaped building which is now fully operational.
