Formed in 2002, the Dutco Balfour Beatty Group comprises Dutco Balfour Beatty, Dutco Construction, Dutco Tunnelling and BK Gulf.
Balfour Beatty is a 49% shareholder, with the Dubai Transport Company (Dutco) holding the remaining 51%. The group is well placed in Dubai to undertake a wide range of construction projects throughout the Middle East region.
Dutco Balfour Beatty was incorporated by Emiri Decree by His Highness Shaikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum in 1977 in the name of Mina Jebel Ali Construction Company, to construct the Port of Jebel Ali. On the early completion of the port and its infrastructure in 1984, the company was reconstituted and the name changed to Dutco Balfour Beatty.
BK Gulf has been operating in the UAE since 1978, specialising in electrical and mechanical engineering and services. It has been involved in many of Dubai's prestigious developments, such as the Dubai Airport, as well as landmark building projects.
The group provides services in civil engineering, construction, building services, ground engineering and facilities management.
