We take our responsibilities to all our stakeholders seriously. We are committed to the principles of Sustainable Construction and seek to influence our customers and our suppliers to adhere to these principles where we can.
We measure our major environmental impacts and have set targets for reducing our carbon footprint. We have engaged with Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace to understand their agenda as well as the Environment Agency to ensure that our work is in line with their aims and objectives.
We play a leading role in the Anti-Corruption Forum and aim to keep our employees informed of latest thinking in anti competitive practices. We use our influence within Engineers Against Poverty to work towards alleviating poverty in third world countries.
And we act to uphold the principles of human rights when we make business decisions regarding new work overseas or engaging additional suppliers.

In 2006, we were awarded the Quality in Construction prize for the best Corporate Responsibility programme in the industry. Such recognition is gratifying, but we remain determined to continue to make progress in all aspects of corporate responsibility.
